Hello and welcome to In My Hands Today…

This bog is all about the books I’ve read and enjoyed over the last few years. I used to blog about this also in my other blog and when I found that books started taking a huge chunk of what I normally write about, I decided to start a new blog dedicated to this part of my previous blog. Of course, this tab will continue to be a part of Memoriesandsuch.

I’ve always been a big reader and can’t really remember a time when I didn’t have a book in my hand. I’ve been caught in school too many times reading and books confiscated to even count! At one time, I used to think my dream job would be to be a librarian and what fun it would be to be surrounded by books all day! Now I know better…

I read for pleasure and my taste is quite eclectic  I read pretty much all genres, except for Science Fiction, which for some reason I’ve never really gotten a hang of. I do try and read one on and off every few years in the hope my tastes change, but it hasn’t happened yet. I’m not done with the genre yet, so there’s still hope for me. At this point in my life, I seem to like travel books and books which feature Asian settings and stories. This would probably change over time, so lets see. I also read romance and chick-lit a lot, but don’t really write about those.

I prefer to borrow my books to read rather than buy them so most of what I read here is borrowed from the wonderful libraries (both online and physical) of the National Library Board Singapore.
